Imagine you would be part of a treasure hunt but you would have to find your prize in only 14 of a few million cars all across one of the biggest cities in the world, racing against the clock and all other players. With the prize big enough and a little help from Mercedes-Benz, the Starchase was on.
In 2014, the brand had launched 14 different models into the market and asked OgilvyOne Indonesia to remind the people of all that had happened throughout the year. Fueled by the myriad of MBs of all shapes, sizes and conditions, we hid the 14 new models in Jakarta. Players equipped with a mobile app could now scan every Mercedes in town, get hints and clues to get closer to the grand prize.The app had another surprise in store - every Mercedes scanned was augmented with the latest version of itself, with all features listed and the location of the closest dealership displayed.
